Servo Torque - Metric To Imperial Conversion
Choosing the correct servo for your airplane can sometimes be a daunting task. Something that further complicates this is when manufacturers quote the torque of the servo in kg/cm. A recent discovery of mine are Starbond Cyanoacrylate Adhesives. They are available in a wide variety of thicknesses and curing times. Each package contains the CA, two screw-on nozzles, and 8 small pipette applicator tips. They also have a 10oz aerosol can of accelerator available.
They tend to be less expensive than the traditional Bob Smith Industries clues that most of us have been using. The pricing for a 2oz. bottle of Medium CA compares as follows:
Great Hobbies (Bob Smith)
KJP Select Hardwoods (Starbond)
Lee Valley (Starbond) *
- Lee Valley do not appear to carry the Thin Starbond CA. KJP has the full line though.
