Information For Foreign Pilots

All International Visiting Modellers that intend to operate any category of model at a MAAC (Model Aeronautics Association of Canada)  sanctioned site or event must adhere to the following requirements:

  • Be A MAAC Member (there is a 12 day license available for $15)

  • Obtain an RPAS license from Transport Canada

  • Attach an ID sticker to each aircraft that you intend to fly

There is no requirement to join the club hosting the event.

Aircraft ID Labels

Pilots must also attach a sticker (either permanently or temporarily) to the aircraft with the following information:

  • MAAC ATS# (Always 25-26-0004408)

  • Your MAAC# 

  • A unique identifier for each aircraft you intend to fly (1, 2, 3, etc)
